The Leg to the Finish! |
This Team has it all! Totally dedicated sailors and a fabulous support team. One of the key reasons for having this most challenging race is to see not only what its Skippers and Crews are capable of, but to test the strength and determination of the ground crews as well. To that end, we have given our very best.
We, The Tommy Bahama Sailing Team wish to thank our sponsor, Tommy Bahama, producers of great island wear, and hope we are meeting, or exceeding, your expectations and in so doing, have helped in our own way increase the awareness of your outstanding lines of Island clothing.
Alex, Nigel, and the entire Tommy Bahama Sailing Team

Third Overall ....What an accomplishment! .... Alex Shafer and Nigel Pitt, in their first attempt at this toughest and most grueling of all 20 foot catamaran races, the Worrell 1000, have driven the Tommy Bahama boat onto the beach to finish in third place for this final leg and lock up third place overall. The Worrell 1000 demands the very best from not only the sailors, but from the support team on the beach as well. This Tommy Bahama Sailing Team has it all. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> OK Nigel, enough of this foolishness, you can come home now and get this new Stiletto 27 out of the warehouse and rigged so I too can go sailing. ..................Mr.Ernie I will be posting more when available from the Team. Come back and visit us as we
will also be completing the Photo Gallery as the many rolls of film are
developed and digitized.
